Art that touches
Stuttgart-based artist Jessica Franguéré discovered her love of art and painting as a child. At the age of 14, she began to intensively engage with oil painting and over the years developed her own distinctive style—a signature that is recognizable in all her works. Today, she works primarily with acrylic paints, which she combines with a variety of materials.
"When I paint, I forget the world around me. I immerse myself in another reality—and that's exactly what I want to enable my viewers to do as well: to escape from everyday life for a moment. Art is a wonderful thing. There's hardly anything more beautiful than standing in front of a painting, losing yourself in it, discovering new details, and letting the structures and color gradients take effect. All the positive feelings that accompany me while painting are reflected in my works—and these are precisely the emotions I want to convey."
Jessica Franguéré's paintings are characterized by the use of acrylic paints, various palette knife techniques, and flowing techniques, which lend her works an extraordinary texture. A characteristic element of many of her creations is metallic paint, which lends the paintings a special elegance and depth.
A heartfelt project of the artist is her series of paintings“Golden Girls”. Inspired by theBlack Lives Matter-Movement sets her with her colorfulAfrican Beautiesa sign against violence and oppression of people of color and women. Their message: "You are golden. You are worth it."
